KEY CURRICULUM COMPONENTS
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN IN THIS TRAINING
Understand the roles of the thalamus, amygdala (ANS), and prefrontal cortex.
Learn about these three key parts of the brain and how they each process information.
Understand the three vagal states.
Students will come away with a basic understanding of each of these states and their functions.
Understand the relationship between the prefrontal cortex and the autonomic nervous system (ANS).
This training will deepen your understanding of how our “thinking” part of our brain interacts with the rest of our body, and vice versa.
Develop new skills and identify further resources for learning.
The facilitator covers three different exercises you can incorporate into your clinical practice to guide clients between their vagal states. Discussions will also cover different resources to learn more about our nervous systems.
